Abstract

|
The Scalenus anticus syt~dronme is a definite clinical entity and the result of pressure upon the component parts of the brachial plexus and the subclavian artery by the scalenus anticus, scalenus medius, scalenus minimus muscle and the first rib.
This case, a fifty one years old male, complained of pain, tingling sensation in the right shoulder and arm.
Roentgenograms showed no specific finding.
Symptom was dramatically relieved by the scalenotomy.
Six years later he had no complaints and no evidence of recurrence.
